Online Store: Accept credit cards without your own merchant account?

Solunas asked:

I have a friend who want to launch an online store but doesn’t want the hassle of opening her own merchant account.
PayPal would be fine but she knows there are still sales that would be lost without the ability to accept regular credit cards.

Are there any online ‘malls’ that can accept credit cards for you?

There are no online malls that you can go through because the bottom line is that the credit card company needs to put the money into your account and not a malls.
We are a credit card processing company in Chicago, IL that specializes in Online solutions, with very little hassle. Setting up a merchant account is easier than most people say, especially with our 24/7 customer service. She can email us at for more information about setting up an online store and accepting credit cards. Good Luk

Merchant accounts are not a hassle. Have your friend call my buddy. He set us up and he did all the work. Tell her to call Marc at 419-345-6863. Tell him Mike Reynolds sent you. He’ll know. He’ll take good care of your friend…he’s a good guy.

You must have your own merchant account.

However, I know that there is Google checkout thats out now and they dont charge any fees. Also, Paypal came up with a Paypal Express where your customer can either pay by paypal (if they have it) or by a credit card (mastercard, visa, discover, amex, etc).

I know that Paypal Express works with Yahoo Stores but I am not sure which e-commerce platform you are on.

No about the online malls. The last two links are things you should know about PayPal.(Ugh!)
Simple Payment Systems is truly the absolute best for credit card and electronic check processing. The electronic check processes the check like a credit card. So if the check is deposited into your account ASAP from your business. If it is bad you know right away. I have done research for a long time. They give you free equipment, free training, free software- with a check out cart! (if you have a web site also that you want to sell items on.) They beat discount rate quotes that you give them too. They have 24 hour live help, which is handy. FDIC insured. Make sure you tell them you want the free program. We switched from another company over to them. And have never been happier. Go to their web site and call them or fill out the form and they can contact you. I did countless hours of research! Trust me they are the BEST.
Best wishes!

Your friend is going to have to **** it up and open a merch account. You always want to make it as easy as possible for the customer to pay for there goods or services. You as a business want to have as little middlemen as possible in getting paid for the services rendered.

you’ll need a merchant account; also you’ll need to check with your state to determine if you’ll need to collect sales tax & what certificate are required.
