The difference between a merchant account and a regular account is that the merchant account doesn’t have transaction limits. Or if they do, they’re a lot higher than for a regular account. The downside is that the fees are higher for merchant accounts.

I haven’t had an personal bad experience with Paypal, but many different people have had stories of Paypal doing undesirable things with their accounts, such as locking the funds on activity that is perfectly legal. I haven’t done any high-volume transactions with them, though. I couldn’t say myself, but if you Google, you’ll find plenty of stories about it.

Yep pay pal is notorious for doing things they don’t have the moral right to do (although you’ll find that they know what they have the legal right to do.)

The problem is that the banking industry has congress in their pocket.

Just get a credit card or check card to PAY, or you can set up through Wells Fargo bank to TAKE credit cards and TAKE check by phone very easily, to RECEIVE payments.
