Most web developers don&#039;t have a true merchant account because their clients prefer to pay by check or can pay by check if necessary.

Since having a merchant account also entails paying monthly fees many webmasters will only want to have one if they find they have either a high demand from their customers or have a business model that requires it (recurring billing, etc.)

For the webmasters who don&#039;t have a merchant account Paypal makes for a suitable solution for accepting payments when necessary.</description>
