You CAN receive money through paypal.

If it is sent from a person via their bank account, you get the money and there is no fee (It really is free).

If they send you money via a credit card, i.e. they charge it, then there are fees. If you have a personal (Not business, they call it premier) account, you can only get money via someone paying with a credit card 5 times per year.

If you sign up for a business account then they charge you a fee if people send you money via a bank account OR credit card.

I added a link to their fees page to help.

Hope that helps ya.

Take Care

Your paypal account is tied into your checking account and / or credit card. When you make purchases a debit to the account is made. If and when you sell something, the proceeds of the sale is credited to your account. Fees are charged only on items listed for sale and they are debited monthly.
