Recommend any reliable but inexpensive merchant accounts for low volume home business?

I want to be able to accept credit card payments, and am looking for a fairly inexpensive way to do this. Any recommendations?

Check with your bank to get the names of credit card clearing organizations near you. The cost per transaction is pretty steep… 3% is not uncommon. But they will provide the channel through which you can funnel credit transactions…
