You definitely can use two merchant accounts for one business. Some businesses who have difficulty getting a high enough limit on their merchant account do this very thing in order to process successfully for the entire month.
The one think you can’t do is use one merchant account for two businesses. That’s called factoring and is VERY bad. But you’re not doing that so you’re ok.
